1. Introduction

Welcome to the Lovaio Verified Users & Business Verification Policy.

Verification helps increase trust within the Lovaio community by allowing certain users and businesses to confirm aspects of their identity or business information.

This Policy explains how verification may be obtained, maintained, reviewed and, where appropriate, withdrawn.

Verification is intended to improve transparency and reduce fraud. It is not an endorsement, guarantee or certification by Lovaio of any individual, business, product or transaction.

Verification indicates that certain information has been checked according to the applicable verification programme.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Marketplace Policy, Account & Account Security Policy, Trust & Safety Policy and all other applicable Platform policies.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • individual users seeking verification;
  • business users;
  • Marketplace sellers;
  • organizations;
  • future verification programs introduced by Lovaio;

Scope of verification

Different verification requirements may apply depending on the type of account or service.

3. Purpose of Verification

Verification programs are designed to:

  • improve user trust;
  • reduce fraud;
  • assist users in identifying legitimate businesses;
  • support compliance with applicable laws;
  • enhance Marketplace safety;
  • protect the integrity of the Platform;

Limitations

Verification does not guarantee future behaviour, product quality, legal compliance or transaction outcomes.

4. Types of Verification

Lovaio may offer different forms of verification, including:

  • verified individual accounts;
  • verified business accounts;
  • verified Marketplace sellers;
  • identity verification;
  • business registration verification;
  • document verification;
  • additional verification programs introduced in the future;

Future verification programs

5. Eligibility

Users requesting verification may be required to satisfy applicable eligibility requirements.

Depending on the verification program, users may need to provide:

  • accurate account information;
  • identity documentation;
  • business registration documents;
  • proof of authority to represent a business;
  • contact information;
  • any additional information reasonably necessary for verification;

Verification approval

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.

6. Verification Process

Lovaio may request information reasonably necessary to complete verification.

Depending on the verification program, this may include:

  • identity documents;
  • business registration records;
  • proof of address where appropriate;
  • tax registration information where applicable;
  • proof of authority to represent a business;
  • additional supporting documentation;

Third-party verification providers

Lovaio may use third-party verification providers where appropriate.

Submitting documents does not guarantee successful verification.

7. Verification Review

Verification requests are reviewed using reasonable procedures designed to confirm the accuracy of submitted information.

Review procedures may evolve as verification technologies and regulatory requirements develop.

During the review process, Lovaio may:

  • request additional documentation;
  • seek clarification;
  • verify publicly available information;
  • conduct automated verification checks;
  • perform manual review where appropriate;

Review timeframes

Verification timeframes may vary depending on the complexity of the request.

8. Verified Status

Where verification is successfully completed, Lovaio may display an indication that the account has been verified.

A verified status indicates only that the relevant verification requirements have been satisfied at the time of verification.

The scope of verification may differ between verification programmes.

  • Verification does not mean that Lovaio guarantees future conduct;
  • Verification does not mean that Lovaio guarantees product quality;
  • Verification does not mean that Lovaio guarantees transaction outcomes;
  • Verification does not mean that Lovaio guarantees legal compliance;
  • Verification does not mean that Lovaio endorses any user or business;

User responsibility

Users remain responsible for their own decisions and transactions.

9. Ongoing Verification

To maintain Platform integrity, Lovaio may periodically review verified accounts.

Additional verification may be requested where:

  • account information changes;
  • unusual activity is detected;
  • fraud prevention requires further checks;
  • applicable laws require updated information;
  • there is reason to question the accuracy of previously submitted information;

Cooperation with verification requests

Failure to cooperate with reasonable verification requests may affect verified status.

10. Business Verification

Business verification may include confirmation of:

  • business registration;
  • legal entity information;
  • authorized representatives;
  • contact details;
  • tax registration where applicable;
  • other information reasonably necessary for the relevant verification program;

Business verification limitations

Business verification does not certify the financial stability, legal compliance or commercial reputation of a business.

11. Changes to Verified Information

Verified users are responsible for keeping relevant verification information accurate and up to date.

Users should promptly notify Lovaio where material changes occur, including:

  • changes to legal name;
  • changes to business ownership where relevant;
  • changes to authorized representatives;
  • changes to registration details;
  • changes affecting eligibility for verification;

Maintaining accurate information

Failure to maintain accurate information may result in verification being reviewed, suspended or withdrawn.

12. Suspension or Removal of Verification

Lovaio may suspend or remove verified status where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • verification information becomes inaccurate;
  • fraud or deception is suspected;
  • Platform policies are seriously or repeatedly violated;
  • applicable legal requirements are no longer satisfied;
  • verification was obtained using false or misleading information;

Effect on account status

Removal of verified status does not necessarily result in account suspension or termination.

13. Misuse of Verified Status

Verified status must not be used to:

  • mislead users;
  • falsely imply endorsement by Lovaio;
  • create deceptive commercial advantages;
  • facilitate fraud;
  • impersonate another individual or organization;
  • violate applicable laws or Platform policies;

Enforcement

Misuse of verified status may result in removal of verification and additional enforcement measures where appropriate.

14. Re-Verification

Where appropriate, Lovaio may require verified users to complete a new verification process.

Re-verification may be requested where:

  • verification standards change;
  • legal requirements evolve;
  • significant account changes occur;
  • security concerns arise;
  • periodic verification reviews are conducted;

Failure to complete re-verification

Failure to complete reasonable re-verification requests may affect continued verified status.

15. Appeals

Users who believe that verification has been incorrectly refused, suspended or removed may request a review.

Appeals should include:

  • identification of the affected account;
  • the relevant verification decision;
  • an explanation of why the decision is believed to be incorrect;
  • any additional supporting information;

Appeal review

Appeals are reviewed fairly, consistently and in good faith.

Where practicable, appeals may be reviewed by personnel not primarily involved in the original decision.

Submitting an appeal does not automatically restore verified status while the review is ongoing.

16. Fraud Prevention

Verification programs are intended to reduce fraud but cannot eliminate all risks.

Users should continue to exercise appropriate caution when interacting with other users, businesses and Marketplace listings.

Verification as one factor

Verification should always be considered as only one factor when making purchasing or business decisions.

Lovaio may implement additional fraud prevention measures independently of verification status.

17. Cooperation with Verification Providers

Where appropriate, Lovaio may use trusted third-party service providers to assist with identity or business verification.

Such providers may perform services including:

  • document authentication;
  • identity verification;
  • business verification;
  • fraud prevention;
  • sanctions or regulatory screening where required by applicable law;

Provider responsibility

The use of third-party providers does not transfer responsibility for Platform governance or user relationships to those providers.
