1. Introduction
Welcome to the Lovaio Seller Policy.
This Policy explains the responsibilities, standards and expectations that apply to users who offer goods or services through the Lovaio Marketplace.
Our goal is to create a Marketplace where buyers can make informed decisions and sellers can trade with confidence in a transparent, respectful and trustworthy environment.
Lovaio aims to foster long-term trust by encouraging transparency, fair dealing and responsible participation throughout the Marketplace.
Lovaio provides technology that enables users to connect and communicate. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Lovaio is not the seller, buyer, owner or reseller of items listed by users and is not a party to transactions concluded between Marketplace participants.
By creating or maintaining Marketplace listings, sellers agree to comply with this Policy, our Terms of Service, Marketplace Policy, Prohibited Items Policy and all other applicable Platform policies.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to every Marketplace user acting as a seller, including:
- private individuals;
- businesses;
- occasional sellers;
- professional sellers;
- users offering items free of charge;
- users exchanging goods;
- users offering services where permitted by the Platform;
Legal obligations
Where additional legal obligations apply to business sellers under applicable law, those obligations remain the responsibility of the seller.
3. Seller Responsibilities
Sellers play a vital role in maintaining trust within the Marketplace.
Every seller is expected to:
- act honestly and in good faith;
- provide accurate information;
- comply with applicable laws;
- respect buyers;
- communicate professionally;
- fulfill agreed commitments;
- maintain accurate listings;
- cooperate with reasonable moderation requests;
Seller accountability
Sellers remain solely responsible for:
- the content of their listings;
- the legality of the items offered;
- compliance with consumer protection laws where applicable;
- taxes and other legal obligations;
- agreements concluded with buyers;
Role of the Platform
Lovaio provides the Platform but does not assume responsibility for the seller's legal obligations.
Sellers remain solely responsible for their legal obligations and contractual commitments.
4. Creating Listings
Listings should be created with sufficient detail to enable buyers to make informed decisions.
Each listing should include, where appropriate:
- a clear title;
- an accurate description;
- the current condition of the item;
- relevant specifications;
- photographs of the actual item;
- information about included accessories;
- known defects;
- availability;
- price;
Keeping listings updated
Listings should remain accurate throughout the period in which they are published.
Sellers should also remove duplicate or obsolete listings where appropriate.
If important information changes, sellers should update the listing without unnecessary delay.
5. Accurate Descriptions
Sellers must describe items honestly, accurately and in sufficient detail to allow buyers to understand what is being offered.
Descriptions should not:
- contain false information;
- exaggerate the condition of an item;
- conceal defects;
- omit important information;
- mislead buyers through ambiguous wording;
Updating inaccurate listings
If a seller becomes aware that information in a listing is inaccurate, they should update or remove the listing without unreasonable delay.
Knowingly misleading buyers may result in Marketplace enforcement actions.
6. Photographs
Images play an important role in helping buyers make informed decisions.
Whenever reasonably possible, sellers should upload photographs showing the actual item being offered.
Photographs should:
- accurately represent the item;
- be of reasonable quality;
- clearly show the condition;
- reveal significant defects where applicable;
- avoid misleading editing;
Stock photographs
The use of stock photographs may be permitted where appropriate, provided they do not misrepresent the actual item.
Lovaio may remove listings that use deceptive or misleading imagery.
7. Pricing
Sellers should clearly state the asking price or pricing method.
Prices should:
- be transparent;
- accurately reflect the intended transaction;
- not intentionally mislead buyers;
- not contain hidden mandatory charges;
Additional costs
If additional costs apply, such as shipping or handling fees, sellers should disclose them whenever reasonably possible before a transaction is concluded.
Pricing errors should be corrected promptly after discovery.
8. Availability
Listings should reflect the actual availability of the item.
Sellers should not knowingly advertise items that:
- have already been sold;
- are unavailable;
- cannot reasonably be delivered;
- are no longer intended for sale;
Availability updates
Listings should be removed or updated once an item is no longer available.
Maintaining accurate availability helps reduce disputes and improves buyer confidence.
9. Communication with Buyers
Sellers should communicate respectfully, professionally and in good faith.
Sellers are expected to:
- respond within a reasonable time where practical;
- answer relevant questions honestly;
- avoid abusive language;
- avoid harassment;
- avoid discriminatory conduct;
- provide accurate information during negotiations;
Communication through the Platform
Lovaio encourages users to keep Marketplace communications within the Platform whenever possible, as this helps improve user safety and may assist in resolving disputes if issues arise.
This may also help Lovaio investigate reports of fraud or policy violations.
10. Completing Transactions
Once a seller voluntarily agrees to proceed with a transaction, they should make reasonable efforts to complete it in accordance with the agreed terms.
Where circumstances change unexpectedly, sellers should inform buyers as soon as reasonably possible.
Repeated cancellation of agreed transactions without legitimate reasons may negatively affect Marketplace trust and may result in Platform action.
Private agreements
Lovaio is not responsible for enforcing private agreements between users but may consider repeated misconduct when enforcing Marketplace policies.
11. Item Condition
Sellers should accurately describe the condition of every item they offer.
Where applicable, listings should clearly indicate whether an item is:
- new;
- like new;
- used;
- refurbished;
- repaired;
- incomplete;
- damaged;
- intended for parts or repair only;
Material defects
Known defects, missing components and significant signs of wear should be disclosed whenever reasonably possible.
Failure to disclose material defects may lead to buyer complaints and Marketplace enforcement measures.
12. Legal Ownership
Sellers may only offer items that they have the legal right to sell, transfer or otherwise dispose of.
By publishing a listing, sellers represent that:
- they own the item or are otherwise legally authorized to offer it;
- the listing does not infringe the rights of third parties;
- the item was not obtained through unlawful means;
- the transaction complies with applicable laws;
Ownership verification
Lovaio may request additional information where ownership or authorization is reasonably questioned.
13. Intellectual Property
Sellers must respect the intellectual property rights of others.
Listings should not:
- infringe copyrights;
- infringe trademarks;
- misuse registered designs;
- violate patents;
- use misleading brand names;
- falsely imply official authorization or endorsement;
Intellectual property enforcement
If a listing is reported for potential intellectual property infringement, Lovaio may temporarily restrict or remove the listing while the matter is reviewed.
Repeated infringement may result in Marketplace restrictions or account suspension.
14. Seller Conduct
Professional and respectful conduct helps create a positive Marketplace experience.
Sellers must not engage in conduct intended to:
- deceive buyers;
- manipulate prices;
- artificially inflate demand;
- create fake listings;
- publish duplicate listings for deceptive purposes;
- impersonate another person or business;
- harass other users;
- intimidate buyers;
- abuse Marketplace features;
Marketplace integrity
Lovaio may take enforcement action where seller behaviour undermines trust, safety or the integrity of the Platform.
15. Business Sellers
Business sellers remain responsible for complying with all legal obligations applicable to their commercial activities.
Depending on applicable law, this may include obligations relating to:
- consumer rights;
- withdrawal rights;
- warranties;
- product safety;
- taxes;
- invoicing;
- mandatory business disclosures;
Professional advice
Lovaio does not provide legal advice regarding these obligations, and sellers should seek professional advice where appropriate.
16. Cooperation with Lovaio
To maintain a safe Marketplace, sellers may occasionally be asked to provide additional information relating to their listings or Marketplace activity.
Examples include:
- clarification of listing details;
- proof of ownership;
- authenticity information;
- product documentation;
- photographs;
- other information reasonably necessary for moderation purposes;
Reasonable requests
Failure to cooperate with reasonable requests may affect the visibility of listings or Marketplace privileges.
Lovaio will only request information that is reasonably necessary to review potential policy violations or to comply with applicable legal obligations.
17. Seller Performance
Lovaio encourages sellers to maintain a consistently high standard of Marketplace activity.
When assessing seller performance, Lovaio may consider factors such as:
- the accuracy of listings;
- responsiveness to buyers;
- compliance with Marketplace policies;
- repeated buyer complaints;
- repeated listing removals;
- cooperation during moderation;
- repeated transaction cancellations;
- patterns of fraudulent or misleading behaviour;
Performance assessment
Seller performance is assessed holistically. A single isolated incident will not necessarily result in enforcement action.
Positive cooperation and prompt corrective action may also be taken into account.
Where appropriate, Lovaio may first provide guidance, request corrections or issue warnings before applying stronger enforcement measures.
18. Policy Violations
Failure to comply with this Seller Policy may result in Marketplace enforcement.
Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, Lovaio may:
- request corrections;
- remove individual listings;
- limit listing visibility;
- temporarily restrict Marketplace privileges;
- suspend Marketplace access;
- permanently prohibit Marketplace activity;
- suspend or terminate Platform accounts;
Enforcement decisions
Enforcement decisions are made after considering the available information, the seriousness of the conduct, previous violations and the potential impact on users or the Platform.
Lovaio may apply immediate enforcement where necessary to protect users, prevent fraud or comply with applicable legal obligations.
19. Appeals
Sellers who believe that Marketplace enforcement has been applied incorrectly may request a review.
Appeals should include:
- a description of the decision being challenged;
- any relevant supporting information;
- any additional documentation that may assist the review;
Appeal process
Where appropriate, appeals may involve additional human review.
Submitting an appeal does not automatically suspend or reverse an enforcement decision.
Lovaio will review appeals in good faith and communicate the outcome within a reasonable period where practicable.
