Marketplace Policy
Rules governing buying, selling and exchanging travel-related goods through the Lovaio Marketplace.

1. Introduction
Welcome to the Lovaio Marketplace Policy.
The Lovaio Marketplace enables members of our global community to buy, sell, exchange and offer travel-related goods in a trusted environment.
This Policy establishes the standards that govern the use of the Marketplace and explains the responsibilities of buyers, sellers and other participants.
Our objective is to promote transparent, fair and secure transactions while protecting users from fraud, misleading practices and other forms of abuse.
The Marketplace is built on the principles of honesty, accountability and mutual respect. Every listing and every transaction contributes to the trust that makes the Marketplace valuable for the entire community.
Our Marketplace is designed to foster long-term trust by promoting transparency, responsible trading and fair treatment of all participants.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy, Trust & Safety Policy and all other legal documents published by Lovaio.
2. Scope
This Marketplace Policy applies to all Marketplace features made available through the Platform.
It applies equally to:
- private individuals;
- businesses;
- buyers;
- sellers;
- users offering items free of charge;
- users exchanging goods;
- any other Marketplace participants;
Legal compliance
By using the Marketplace, users agree to comply with this Policy as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
Where local laws impose stricter requirements than this Policy, users remain responsible for complying with those laws.
3. Eligible Listings
The Marketplace is intended primarily for goods and equipment that support travel and outdoor activities.
Examples of items that may generally be listed include:
- luggage and travel bags;
- backpacks;
- camping equipment;
- hiking equipment;
- outdoor clothing;
- travel accessories;
- navigation devices;
- photography equipment used for travel;
- sports equipment intended for travel activities;
- travel books and guidebooks;
- maps;
- travel-related collectibles;
- souvenirs;
- vehicle accessories intended for travel;
- other travel-related goods that comply with this Policy;
Marketplace restrictions
The fact that an item is listed above does not automatically mean that it is permitted in every jurisdiction.
Lovaio reserves the right to restrict or prohibit categories of items where necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect users or maintain the integrity of the Marketplace.
4. Seller Responsibilities
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that every listing is accurate, complete and created in good faith.
When creating a listing, sellers must:
- provide truthful information;
- accurately describe the condition of the item;
- disclose known defects or damage;
- use photographs that accurately represent the item being offered;
- ensure they have the legal right to sell the item;
- select the appropriate Marketplace category;
- provide accurate pricing information;
- comply with all applicable laws;
- respond to buyers honestly and respectfully;
Sellers must not
Sellers must not:
- intentionally misrepresent items;
- conceal significant defects;
- use misleading titles or descriptions;
- upload deceptive photographs;
- copy listings from other users without authorization;
- create duplicate listings intended to manipulate visibility;
- offer prohibited items;
- engage in fraudulent sales practices;
Keeping listings up to date
Sellers remain responsible for the accuracy of their listings throughout the entire period during which the listing is published.
Listings should be updated promptly whenever important information changes.
5. Buyer Responsibilities
A safe Marketplace depends not only on responsible sellers but also on informed and responsible buyers.
Before entering into a transaction, buyers are encouraged to carefully review listings, communicate openly with sellers and exercise reasonable judgment.
Buyers should:
- read the entire listing before making a purchase;
- review all available photographs;
- ask questions if information is unclear;
- verify important details before completing a transaction;
- communicate respectfully with sellers;
- honor agreed commitments;
- promptly report suspected fraud or misleading listings;
Responsible purchasing
Buyers should avoid making purchasing decisions based solely on urgency, unusually low prices or promises that cannot reasonably be verified.
Responsible purchasing helps maintain a trustworthy Marketplace for everyone. Buyers are encouraged to report misleading or suspicious listings.
6. Accurate Listings
Listings must accurately represent the goods being offered.
Each listing should include sufficient information for buyers to make informed decisions.
Where appropriate, listings should include:
- an accurate title;
- a clear description;
- the condition of the item;
- relevant specifications;
- dimensions or size where applicable;
- photographs of the actual item;
- information about accessories included;
- known defects or signs of wear;
- the asking price;
- availability status;
Photographs
Photographs should accurately represent the item being offered and should not be edited in a manner that materially misrepresents its condition.
Marketplace enforcement
Lovaio may remove or modify listings that are incomplete, misleading or otherwise inconsistent with this Policy.
7. Pricing
Pricing should be transparent, accurate and presented in good faith.
Sellers remain responsible for ensuring that prices are correct at the time a listing is published.
Listings should be updated promptly whenever important information changes.
Sellers must not:
- intentionally publish misleading prices;
- conceal mandatory costs;
- manipulate prices to mislead buyers;
- advertise items that are not genuinely available at the displayed price;
Additional costs
Where shipping costs, taxes or other charges apply, sellers should communicate these clearly before a transaction is completed.
Pricing enforcement
Lovaio reserves the right to remove listings that contain deceptive pricing practices or otherwise undermine trust in the Marketplace.
We may also request corrections before enforcement where appropriate.
8. Prohibited Marketplace Activities
To protect users and maintain a fair Marketplace, certain practices are strictly prohibited.
Examples include:
- publishing fraudulent listings;
- impersonating another person or business;
- offering goods that the seller does not have the legal right to sell;
- manipulating prices or search rankings;
- posting duplicate listings intended to gain unfair visibility;
- creating fake transactions;
- artificially inflating ratings or reviews;
- coordinating deceptive marketplace activity;
- using automated systems to manipulate Marketplace functionality;
- circumventing Marketplace restrictions or enforcement measures;
Possible enforcement
Participation in prohibited activities may result in the removal of listings, suspension of Marketplace privileges or permanent account restrictions, depending on the severity of the violation.
9. Transactions
Lovaio provides a platform that enables users to connect and arrange transactions.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Lovaio is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers.
Users remain responsible for:
- communicating honestly;
- agreeing on transaction terms;
- complying with applicable laws;
- completing transactions in good faith;
- resolving ordinary transaction matters directly with one another whenever appropriate;
Before completing a transaction
Before completing a transaction, users should verify important details, including:
- the identity of the other party where appropriate;
- the condition of the item;
- the agreed price;
- payment arrangements;
- delivery or collection arrangements;
Keeping records
Lovaio encourages users to retain records of important communications relating to Marketplace transactions.
10. Marketplace Moderation
To maintain a safe and trustworthy Marketplace, Lovaio may review listings, user activity and reports of suspected policy violations.
Where appropriate, Lovaio may:
- remove listings;
- temporarily hide listings;
- request additional information from sellers;
- restrict Marketplace privileges;
- suspend Marketplace access;
- permanently prohibit Marketplace participation;
- remove fraudulent or misleading content;
- apply other reasonable measures necessary to protect users and the Platform;
Moderation process
Moderation decisions are based on the information available at the time of review and may involve automated systems, human review or a combination of both.
Significant enforcement decisions may involve human review where appropriate.
Immediate action
Lovaio reserves the right to take immediate action where necessary to protect the safety, integrity or reliability of the Marketplace.
11. Repeat Violations
Users who repeatedly violate Marketplace rules may be subject to progressively stronger enforcement measures.
Depending on the nature, frequency and severity of violations, Lovaio may:
- issue warnings;
- remove individual listings;
- temporarily restrict Marketplace features;
- suspend Marketplace access;
- suspend user accounts;
- permanently terminate Marketplace privileges;
- permanently terminate Platform accounts where appropriate;
Intentional misuse
Repeated violations may be considered evidence of intentional misuse of the Marketplace.
12. International Compliance
Lovaio operates as a global Platform.
Users remain solely responsible for ensuring that their Marketplace activities comply with the laws applicable in their own jurisdiction and in any jurisdiction affected by a transaction.
This may include laws relating to:
- consumer protection;
- taxation;
- customs requirements;
- import and export controls;
- product safety;
- sanctions;
- intellectual property;
- environmental regulations;
- other applicable legal requirements;
Jurisdiction restrictions
Lovaio may restrict Marketplace functionality in certain jurisdictions where required by law or where necessary to protect users or the Platform.
13. Reporting Marketplace Abuse
Users are encouraged to report Marketplace activity that appears fraudulent, misleading or otherwise inconsistent with this Policy.
Reports may include:
- fraudulent listings;
- counterfeit goods;
- misleading descriptions;
- prohibited items;
- intellectual property infringement;
- fake reviews;
- price manipulation;
- impersonation;
- other Marketplace abuse;
Why reporting matters
Reports help maintain a fair and trustworthy Marketplace for the benefit of all users.
Timely reporting enables faster investigation.
Review process
Lovaio reviews reports using a combination of automated systems and human assessment where appropriate.
Submitting intentionally false reports may itself constitute a violation of Platform policies.

Marketplace disclaimer
Nothing in this Policy guarantees the successful completion of any transaction or the quality, safety or legality of goods listed by users.
Users remain responsible for exercising reasonable judgment when buying, selling or exchanging goods through the Marketplace.
Severability
If any provision of this Policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Appendix A – Marketplace Best Practices
The following recommendations are intended to help users create high-quality listings and complete transactions safely.
Good Listing
A high-quality listing should:
- include multiple clear photographs of the actual item;
- accurately describe the condition of the item;
- disclose any defects or signs of wear;
- include relevant dimensions or specifications where applicable;
- state a fair and transparent price;
- provide timely responses to buyer inquiries;
Poor Listing
A poor-quality listing may include:
- blurry or misleading photographs;
- vague descriptions;
- missing information about the condition of the item;
- unrealistic pricing;
- incomplete specifications;
- failure to respond to reasonable buyer questions;
Safe Transaction
To improve transaction safety, users should:
- communicate through the Platform whenever possible;
- verify important details before payment;
- inspect items before completing in-person transactions where practical;
- retain records of important communications;
- report suspicious behavior without delay;

The following examples are illustrative only.
- Counterfeit or imitation travel products.
- Items offered without the legal right to sell them.
- Listings containing intentionally misleading photographs.
