1. Introduction

Welcome to the Lovaio Account & Account Security Policy.

Maintaining secure user accounts is essential to protecting the Lovaio community, preventing fraud and ensuring the reliable operation of the Platform.

Strong account security is a shared responsibility between Lovaio and its users.

This Policy explains the rules governing user accounts, account security, authentication, identity verification, account recovery and the responsibilities of users in maintaining the security of their accounts.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Trust & Safety Policy, Marketplace Policy and all other applicable Platform policies.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to every account created on the Lovaio Platform, including:

  • personal accounts;
  • business accounts;
  • verified accounts;
  • Marketplace accounts;
  • future account types introduced by Lovaio;

Platform access

This Policy applies regardless of the device, application or service used to access the Platform.

3. Eligibility

To create a Lovaio account, users must satisfy any minimum age and legal capacity requirements specified in the Terms of Service or required by applicable law.

By creating an account, users represent that:

  • the information they provide is accurate;
  • they have the legal right to use the supplied email address or telephone number;
  • they are not creating the account on behalf of another person without authorization;
  • they will comply with all applicable Platform policies;

Registration refusal

Lovaio may refuse registration where reasonably necessary to protect the Platform, other users or to comply with applicable laws.

4. Account Registration

Users are responsible for providing accurate, complete and up-to-date registration information.

Users should promptly update their account details if relevant information changes.

During registration, Lovaio may request information such as:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • country or region;
  • date of birth where necessary;
  • business information where applicable;
  • additional information required for specific Platform features;

False registration information

Providing false or misleading registration information may result in restrictions or enforcement action.

5. Account Credentials

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

Users should:

  • choose strong passwords;
  • avoid reusing passwords from other services;
  • keep authentication information confidential;
  • use multi-factor authentication where available;
  • immediately update credentials if compromise is suspected;

Account activity

Users remain responsible for activity occurring through their accounts unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Users should notify Lovaio promptly if they suspect unauthorized use.

6. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Where available, users are strongly encouraged to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) to improve account security.

MFA provides an additional layer of protection beyond a password alone.

Where supported by the Platform, MFA may include:

  • authentication applications;
  • security keys;
  • one-time verification codes;
  • biometric authentication where supported by the user's device;

MFA limitations

Although MFA significantly improves security, it does not eliminate all security risks.

7. Account Security Responsibilities

Users should take reasonable measures to protect their accounts.

Examples include:

  • keeping software updated;
  • protecting devices against malware;
  • signing out from shared devices;
  • reviewing account activity where available;
  • avoiding phishing attempts;
  • protecting recovery information;
  • reporting suspected security incidents promptly;

Security precautions

Failure to take reasonable security precautions may increase the risk of unauthorized account access.

8. Unauthorized Access

If a user believes that an account has been accessed without authorization, the user should:

  • change their password immediately;
  • revoke active sessions where available;
  • enable MFA if not already enabled;
  • review recent account activity;
  • contact Lovaio Support without unreasonable delay;

Temporary security restrictions

Lovaio may temporarily restrict account access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected compromise or prevent further misuse.

Temporary restrictions are not disciplinary measures and may be applied solely for account protection.

Such measures are intended solely to reduce security risks while relevant circumstances are assessed.

9. Identity Verification

Certain Platform features may require identity verification.

Verification requirements may vary depending on:

  • Marketplace activity;
  • transaction risk;
  • account history;
  • applicable legal requirements;
  • fraud prevention measures;

Verification methods

Verification may include, where appropriate:

  • email verification;
  • telephone verification;
  • government-issued identification;
  • business registration documents;
  • additional information reasonably necessary to verify identity;

Verification limitations

Lovaio may decline or delay verification where submitted information is incomplete, inconsistent or cannot reasonably be verified.

10. Business Accounts

Business users may be required to provide additional information in order to access certain Marketplace features.

Such information may include:

  • registered business name;
  • company registration number;
  • tax identification information where required;
  • authorized representative details;
  • business contact information;

Business verification limitations

Business verification helps improve Marketplace trust but does not guarantee the quality, legality or reliability of any particular seller, product or transaction.

Verification status should not be interpreted as a guarantee of future conduct.

11. Account Recovery

Users who lose access to their accounts may request account recovery using the recovery methods made available by Lovaio.

To protect users and the Platform, Lovaio may require verification before restoring account access.

Verification may include:

  • confirming ownership of the registered email address;
  • confirming a registered telephone number;
  • identity verification where appropriate;
  • verification of previous account activity;
  • additional information reasonably necessary to establish account ownership;

Recovery refusal

Lovaio may refuse recovery requests where ownership cannot reasonably be verified.

12. Multiple Accounts

Unless expressly permitted by Lovaio, users should maintain only one personal account.

Creating multiple accounts to:

  • evade enforcement actions;
  • manipulate Marketplace activity;
  • mislead other users;
  • abuse promotional programs;
  • artificially influence reviews or ratings;
  • circumvent Platform restrictions;

Enforcement

Creating multiple accounts for prohibited purposes may result in enforcement action.

Business users may operate additional accounts where expressly permitted by Lovaio.

13. Impersonation

Users may not impersonate another person or organization.

Examples include:

  • using another person's identity;
  • creating misleading profiles;
  • pretending to represent a company without authorization;
  • falsely claiming official affiliation;
  • using deceptive account names designed to mislead users;

Parody and disclosed accounts

Parody, satire or clearly disclosed fan accounts may be permitted where they are unlikely to mislead users and comply with applicable laws and Platform policies.

14. Account Transfers

Accounts are generally personal and may not be sold, transferred, rented, licensed or otherwise assigned without Lovaio's prior authorization.

Unauthorized account transfers may compromise Platform security and user trust.

Business account transfers

Where business accounts are transferred as part of a legitimate business transaction, Lovaio may require additional verification before approving continued account access.

15. Inactive Accounts

Lovaio may implement policies relating to inactive accounts where reasonably necessary for security, operational efficiency or legal compliance.

Notice

Before taking action affecting inactive accounts, Lovaio may provide notice where reasonably practicable and where required by applicable law.

Retention of information

Certain information may continue to be retained after inactivity in accordance with the Privacy Policy, applicable laws and legitimate operational requirements.

16. Account Suspension and Restriction

Lovaio may temporarily restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to:

  • protect users;
  • investigate suspected policy violations;
  • investigate security incidents;
  • prevent fraud;
  • comply with applicable laws;
  • protect Platform integrity;

Temporary restrictions

Temporary restrictions do not necessarily indicate wrongdoing and may be applied while an investigation is ongoing.

Where appropriate, Lovaio may restore account access after the relevant concerns have been resolved.

17. Account Termination

Users may request the closure of their accounts at any time, subject to any legal obligations, outstanding transactions or other applicable Platform requirements.

Lovaio may also terminate accounts where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • serious or repeated policy violations occur;
  • fraudulent activity is identified;
  • applicable law requires account termination;
  • continued access presents a security risk;
  • the Platform is being abused;

Information retention

Termination of an account does not automatically remove all information where retention is required by applicable law, legitimate business purposes or the Privacy Policy.

18. Appeals

Users who believe that account restrictions, suspensions or termination have been applied incorrectly may request a review.

An appeal should include:

  • identification of the affected account;
  • an explanation of the circumstances;
  • any relevant supporting information;
  • current contact details;

Appeal review

Lovaio reviews appeals fairly, consistently and in good faith.

Submitting an appeal does not automatically restore account access while the review is ongoing.

Where appropriate, additional human review may be conducted before a final decision is made.
