1. Introduction

Welcome to the Lovaio Acceptable Use Policy.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") explains the rules governing the appropriate use of the Lovaio website, mobile applications, services and related infrastructure (collectively, the "Platform").

Our goal is to maintain a secure, reliable and trustworthy environment for every member of the Lovaio community.

This Policy helps protect our users, our technology, and the integrity of the Platform.

This Policy is intended not only to define prohibited technical activities, but also to ensure that the Platform remains available, secure and reliable for everyone.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and any other legal policies published by Lovaio.

2. Purpose of this Policy

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that all users interact with the Platform in a lawful, responsible and secure manner.

It establishes acceptable standards of conduct while protecting:

  • the security of our systems;
  • the privacy of users;
  • the integrity of Platform data;
  • the availability of our services;
  • the reliability of our infrastructure;
  • the experience of the Lovaio community;

Compliance

Compliance with this Policy is a condition of using the Platform.

3. Acceptable Use

Lovaio is designed to help travelers connect, exchange knowledge, share experiences and participate in a trusted global community.

Users may use the Platform for legitimate purposes, including:

  • creating user accounts;
  • publishing listings;
  • buying, selling or giving away travel-related items;
  • communicating with other users;
  • sharing travel experiences;
  • asking and answering travel-related questions;
  • participating in community discussions;
  • reporting inappropriate content;
  • using features made available by Lovaio in accordance with their intended purpose;

Responsible use

Users must always use the Platform responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws.

Users should access the Platform only through officially supported interfaces and use its features in accordance with their documented purpose.

4. Prohibited Activities

Users must not use the Platform to engage in activities that interfere with its security, reliability or proper operation.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • attempting unauthorized access to accounts, systems or data;
  • hacking or attempting to exploit security vulnerabilities;
  • distributing malware, ransomware, spyware or other malicious software;
  • phishing or social engineering attacks;
  • credential stuffing attacks;
  • brute-force login attempts;
  • denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks;
  • scanning or probing our infrastructure without authorization;
  • bypassing authentication or security controls;
  • reverse engineering or attempting to discover proprietary source code, except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law;
  • interfering with Platform functionality;
  • introducing malicious scripts or executable code;
  • uploading files intended to damage devices or systems;
  • creating multiple accounts to evade enforcement actions;
  • circumventing technical limitations or access restrictions;
  • abusing APIs or automated interfaces;
  • unauthorized web scraping, crawling or automated data extraction;
  • manipulating search results or recommendation systems;
  • artificially inflating engagement metrics;
  • using bots where not expressly authorized by Lovaio;

Platform security

Any attempt to compromise the security or stability of the Platform may result in immediate enforcement action.

This includes attempts to bypass rate limits, intercept network communications, exploit software vulnerabilities, intentionally consume excessive computing resources or tamper with audit logs.

5. Abuse of Artificial Intelligence Systems

Lovaio may use artificial intelligence to improve safety, moderation, fraud detection and user experience.

Users must not attempt to abuse or manipulate these systems.

Examples include:

  • attempting to bypass AI moderation;
  • manipulating automated safety systems;
  • using prompt injection techniques against Lovaio AI features;
  • generating fraudulent AI-assisted content;
  • intentionally training automated systems using malicious inputs;
  • exploiting AI-generated recommendations for deceptive purposes;
  • attempting to manipulate automated ranking or recommendation algorithms;

Protection of AI systems

Lovaio may investigate and restrict behavior that threatens the integrity or effectiveness of its AI systems.

Lovaio reserves the right to update its AI protection measures as new threats emerge.

6. Account and Security Responsibilities

Every user plays an important role in maintaining the security of the Platform.

Users are responsible for safeguarding their accounts and should take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access.

Users should:

  • choose a strong and unique password;
  • keep login credentials confidential;
  • enable multi-factor authentication where available;
  • keep contact information up to date;
  • use only devices they trust when accessing the Platform;
  • sign out of shared or public devices after use;

Users must not

Users must not:

  • share their passwords with others;
  • sell, transfer or lease their accounts;
  • allow another person to impersonate them through their account;
  • knowingly permit unauthorized access to their account;

Compromised accounts

If a user believes that their account has been compromised, they should immediately:

  • change their password;
  • terminate active sessions where possible;
  • notify Lovaio without undue delay;

Temporary suspension

Lovaio may temporarily suspend an account where it reasonably believes that doing so is necessary to protect the user, other members of the community or the Platform.

7. Responsible Disclosure of Security Vulnerabilities

Lovaio appreciates the efforts of security researchers and members of the community who help identify vulnerabilities in a responsible manner.

If you discover a potential security vulnerability affecting the Platform, we encourage you to report it promptly through the contact information provided below.

When reporting a vulnerability, please:

  • provide sufficient detail to reproduce the issue;
  • avoid accessing data that does not belong to you;
  • avoid disrupting the availability of the Platform;
  • refrain from exploiting the vulnerability beyond what is reasonably necessary to demonstrate its existence;
  • keep the vulnerability confidential until it has been addressed by Lovaio;

Good-faith security research

Subject to compliance with this Policy and applicable law, Lovaio will generally not pursue legal action against individuals conducting responsible security research in good faith.

Nothing in this section limits Lovaio's rights where activities exceed responsible disclosure or violate applicable law.

8. Enforcement

Lovaio may investigate any activity that appears to violate this Policy.

Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, Lovaio may take one or more of the following actions:

  • issue a warning;
  • remove content;
  • temporarily restrict access to certain Platform features;
  • temporarily suspend an account;
  • permanently terminate an account;
  • block devices, IP addresses or other technical identifiers where appropriate;
  • refer suspected unlawful activity to competent authorities where required or appropriate by law;

Immediate action

Lovaio may also take immediate action where necessary to protect the security, availability or integrity of the Platform or the safety of its users.

Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent restrictions without prior warning.

9. Changes to this Acceptable Use Policy

Lovaio may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • changes to our Platform;
  • technological developments;
  • emerging security threats;
  • legal and regulatory requirements;
  • improvements to our services;

Notification of changes

Where appropriate, users will be informed of significant changes through notifications within the Platform, updates on our website, email communications or other reasonable means.

Effective Date

The Effective Date shown at the beginning of this Policy indicates when the current version became effective.

Continued use of the Platform after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Final Provisions

This Acceptable Use Policy should be read together with our:

  • Terms of Service;
  • Privacy Policy;
  • Cookie Policy;
  • Community Guidelines;
  • and any other legal policies published by Lovaio.

Severability

If any provision of this Policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Appendix A – Examples of Acceptable and Prohibited Use

The following examples are illustrative only and do not limit the scope of this Policy.

Allowed

  • Browsing listings;
  • Selling travel equipment;
  • Reporting a security issue responsibly;

Prohibited

  • Automated scraping without permission;
  • Creating fake accounts;
  • Attempting to bypass moderation;
